[...] Adèle Vivet draws inspiration from the ornamental vocabulary of Christian sacred architecture (capitals, tympana, keystones, and bas-reliefs) to create hybrid forms through ceramics and 3D printing. Nymphenbrünnen envisions a carnal encounter between her sculptures and the Gothic architecture of Saint-Ouen Abbey in Rouen, a place deeply cherished from her childhood. The exhibition establishes a singular visual dialogue between the seemingly pious monumentality of the building and the artist’s sensual, voracious mythology, through which she reveals herself to the viewer.
